Chesed 24/7’s transportation program provides two types of services for patients and families:
Hospital Shuttle: Chesed 24/7’s transportation program provides medical transportation assistance and rides for patients and families who need help getting to and from hospitals, treatments, and medical appointments. This service follows set routes to major facilities to ensure patients can reach their appointments reliably.
Shvil Hachesed: A unique program offering handicap-accessible vehicles for individuals to borrow. These vehicles are available without a driver, providing more flexibility for those who need transportation but can drive themselves or have a caregiver assist them.

Chesed 24/7’s medical transportation assistance includes rides or van access for individuals who need:

- Transportation to recurring treatments, such as chemo, radiation, or dialysis
- Rides home after discharge, when families cannot pick up the patient
- Rides for family members to visit a seriously ill loved one when necessary
Whenever possible, rides are:
- Door-to-door
- Scheduled with sensitivity to appointment times
- Coordinated to match patient needs and physical condition
Availability depends on volunteers, distance, and time of day, but the goal is always: no one should miss care because they can’t get there.
